Plus, extended bike rides could lead to a sore backside since you are sitting for so long. If possible, biking to work instead of driving is a great way to burn some calories while just going about your daily routine. By substituting driving or taking the bus with biking, you will burn calories without even setting aside time for a workout.

Swimming: It is often said that swimming is the best workout someone can do. Whether you have a pool in your backyard or go down to the gym to get in your daily laps, the health benefits of swimming are amazing. Swimming exercises the whole body without putting the strain on joints that some other exercises do. Since the water cushions joints and bones, it is a great exercise for people with arthritis. And since swimming is essentially resistance training, it uses almost every major muscle and will build muscle strength. Conversely, too much chlorine exposure may be harmful to your skin and hair. People who swim a lot can also develop Swimmer’s ear, which is a painful infection of the outer ear canal.

Good cardio is the key to losing weight, and finding an exercise that you enjoy will make getting up and going to the gym much easier. Try out different work outs until you discover one that is right for you.
